This is an amazing Barrel, I loaded some test rounds and it shot a five-shot group @.2....... outstanding Excellent fit &finish.........
Having just received this barrel, I have not as yet had the chance to test it. However, i did borescope it and found it to flawless. It appears to have been hand lapped and although there is minute evidence of rifling, It is hardily noticeable.
I now have 3 Remage barrels from The urban rifleman all 8 twist heavy varmint contour in 6mmbr, 223 AI and most recently 6mm x 223 AI. All 3 shoot much well than I can, clean very easily, and group below .5 or .6 MOA without much reloading effort. Bore scope exam is very good by my untrained eye. Very happy with all three barrels!!! Thanks
Soon as I got my barrel headspaced. I shot a .450' group. Shots 6,7,8,9,10. Barrel profile is perfect too. Thanks for there being people out there willing to help. Urban Rifleman!
I got the 6mm bra with 104 freebore. I was able to install this myself with a little help from my local gunsmith. Bradly was able to help over the phone on how to headspace using the standard 6mm br go gauge . The barrel shot sub moa groups at 200 yards while fire forming brass.
So here it is late January 2021, And who knows what will lie ahead of us under the new Biden Administration. Parts are getting tuff to find, So I decided it was past time to put a Remington 700 based 223 rifle together. Brad helped me get all the parts sourced and he handed the barrel and specs I wanted. Then came the length, He was just finishing up getting his lathe put together and tells me this was his first barrel that we cut at 20" And had his thread it for 1/2"-28". Here it is March 1st on a 50° NE Ohio day and this rifle is definitely all I wanted it to be. And the 1:8 Twist 223 Wylde chamber loves my go to load of 55gr Hornady V-Max loads that nearly all of my other (AR's) like. Im very happy with this prefit Remage barrel and how well it all came together. Thank You Brad for helping me get this all together in this uncertain time in the 2nd Amendment industry.
